This shot took some effort � mostly time, and a very late night. It is COMPLETELY un-retouched � it is precisely what the camera saw. I have lived in Chicago all of my life.
I have been trying for 20 years to catch a moment like this. Now, as I prepare to leave this beautiful city (in 4 days), I finally did it.

If I have to claim having a style, it would be "real." I know that I do not want to pride myself as a graphic artist. I want, as best as possible, to merely capture what beauty is before my eyes, put it in front of others as it is, and let their eyes and mind do the rest. I hope to convey how the scene felt to me, to try to "live up to the standard of great still photography, revealing the essence of a subject, not just its physical presence."
