About David Armentrout
If I have to claim having a style, it would be "real." I know that I do not want to pride myself as a graphic artist. I want, as best as possible, to merely capture what beauty is before my eyes, put it in front of others as it is, and let their eyes and mind do the rest. I hope to convey how the scene felt to me, to try to "live up to the standard of great still photography, revealing the essence of a subject, not just its physical presence." If you see something you like, but not in the size or orientation that you want, drop me an email and I will see what I can do. Similarly, if you would like a signed copy of a print, just email me and we can work out the shipping, etc. (No extra cost for the signature!)

Oh!!!! Thanks so much!!! Glad I could help! Thanks for trying to name it after me!!!

I think this is a Western Grebe; in my field guide it appears to have a yellow bill with black on top (from a side view) - but the red eyes are a match as well as the black feathers going down the back of its neck. I love birds! Nice image! This bird is similar to Clark's Grebe, but the black cap of the Western Grebe goes below its eye (which is what you have photographed). Hope this helps....95% sure I am correct.....

I think you nailed it, Anita! Thank you! I tried to name the photo "Anita's Grebe" but the system didn't like the apostrophe s.
