Artist's Description

My friends believe I am obsessed with fog. While it may have played a part in my move, later this week, to San Francisco Bay, I don't intend for it to be a central part of what I photograph. Anyway, Chicago has probably had the fog roll in more in the past 6 months than it has in the last 20 years combined. I have had the extreme pleasure of watching and capturing these sights (plenty more where these came from!).

About David Armentrout

David Armentrout

If I have to claim having a style, it would be "real." I know that I do not want to pride myself as a graphic artist. I want, as best as possible, to merely capture what beauty is before my eyes, put it in front of others as it is, and let their eyes and mind do the rest. I hope to convey how the scene felt to me, to try to "live up to the standard of great still photography, revealing the essence of a subject, not just its physical presence." If you see something you like, but not in the size or orientation that you want, drop me an email and I will see what I can do. Similarly, if you would like a signed copy of a print, just email me and we can work out the shipping, etc. (No extra cost for the signature!)
